While this is a less than ideal
record of the award, this is number 4 in the series of awards
for the North Suburban Peace Initiative. This one proved to
be very challenging as my admiration and respect for the recipient,
Kathy Kelly, knows no bounds and it was difficult to believe
any design would fairly represent and acknowledge the work
she does. The body of text was written in a beautiful bronze
gouache that in some way I hope captures the light that surrounds
Kathy Kelly. The word 'Pax' was first written with watered
down walnut ink followed by dropping in blue ink and bronze
gouache while still wet.
