Becoming a stepmom has sent me on a food journey that I never would have imagined! I thought I ate healthy enough, but boy, I've learned otherwise! Discovering the very tangible impact artificial chemicals has on my stepkids has made me even more committed to eating real food that is as fresh as possible.

We're eliminating processed foods and eating more organic. When I realized that genetically modified foods (90% of all soy is now a GMO!) meant that I was ingesting the DNA of Round-Up (or something similar), I decided I needed to get more serious about the food I was buying.

This link here will take you to a helpful article about artificial chemicals in food and the impact they have. Europe is going to require a warning for foods with petroleum-based dyes, "May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children." So why does M&M offer natural dyes to their European customers and artificial ones to us in the U.S.?

The T-shirts are earth-friendly and made out of organic & pesticide-free, insecticide- free fabrics! The shirts are a mix of organic cotton, organic bamboo & hemp. My favorite is the hemp/cotton mix on the women's & men's t-shirt. The fabric has texture but is soft. And hemp is such an environmentally great plant that it'll make you smile just by knowing what a difference you are making by choosing this over a conventionally grown fiber.

And the kid's bamboo cotton shirts, well, they are just luxuriously soft, hands down.
