gallery the story I first saw the phrase "whoever smiles first wins" and thought that was wonderful. I was going to have it stitched on t-shirts for my stepchildren. But then my husband slipped the news to the kids while they were driving home, they eagerly ran into the house, found me, smiled big grins and excitedly announced "I win!". I knew I had found something wonderful and yet they didn't need one more competitive thing in their life. So I've changed the text slightly as a reminder that even a smile generated by another smile is just as wonderful! I lettered the text in a fun style and had them stitched here in Granby at Stitches by Me. The stitched letters have a shine & dimension that flat silk screening can't capture. the t-shirt The T-shirts are earth-friendly and made out of organic & pesticide-free, insecticide- free fabrics! The shirts are a mix of organic cotton, organic bamboo & hemp. My favorite is the hemp/cotton mix on the women's t-shirt. The fabric has texture but is soft. And hemp is such an environmentally great plant that it'll make you smile just by knowing what a difference you are making by choosing this over a conventionally grown fiber. And the men's and kid's bamboo cotton shirts, well, they are just luxuriously soft, hands down. When it was colder I wore a white turtle neck under it as I specifically wanted to wear it. Looked quite nice actually. I really like the shirt itself -- the fabric, the way it fits.
